June 30-Today they began adding the black tar paper to the roof.
Now, hopefully, we will stay dry during the daily afternoon showers.

It was just beginning to get dark,a great time to enjoy the views.

Today, the 26th of June, they began adding the roof,
the beams which support the upper level were put into place.

June 23-Work on the second floor continues.
Today we framed the bedrooms and bonus room on the second floor.

Second Story

Progress on the second floor is continuing. Last night we went shopping for bathtubs.
After two trips to Home Depot and unloading bathtubs in the dark,
they were ready to frame the baths on the second floor today.

June 22- Today the walls on the second story were started.
It is actually starting to look like a house.

The second story was started on Friday, June 19.
After placing the beams, they began to lay the flooring.

June 16 & 17- We have been battling thunderstorms and rain, No work on the 17th... rain all day.
They were able to complete the walls for the garage and begin setting the beams overhead.

Framing Continues...

June 12-The front of the house is in place

The framing continued today. The weather was nice and they got a lot done.

The first wall to go up is the wall dividing the garage from the house.

The hole in the floor is for the basement steps.

June 10- The weather was much cooler today, it was overcast and rained in the late afternoon.

The Beams

Ray is messing around with Jmmy's loader, back filling with some scrap block, looks like he's having fun.

The first beam is in place.

June 8 & 9,The framing seems to be going very quickly and smoothly, other than the extreme heat. One of the workers suffered from heat exhaustion, however they were able to set all of the beams and put down part of the sub flooring

The Basement

The basement was started on Friday May 29 and completed in just four days. I will add pictures of the completed basement later. These included the beginning of the framing which was started on June 8.
